For those children who have limited access to a computer, here are a few ideas:

+ Keep a regular diary

+ Practise your drawing skills-either tracing or free hand

+ Learn how to cook or bake. Practise weighing out the ingredients and reading the scales carefully. Can you write your own recipe book?

+ Create a scrap book about your time at home. It could include photos, writings and drawings

+ Read a chapter from a book and write a character/setting description

+ Practise your spellings

+ Write a persuasive letter to West Midlands Safari Park persuading them to close the park. Justify your opinions with factual information (include rhetorical questions, emotive language to include powerful verbs and strong adjectives)

Also… don’t forget to look at the writing tasks in your learning packs.
